White & Case announces strong spring retention
White & Case is keeping 13 out of 15 of its London trainees qualifying this spring, equating to 87 per cent. Places were offered to 13 qualifiers, with all accepting.
The result ends White & Case’s 100 per cent retention run. The firm kept all 13 of its qualifying trainees this time last year. In autumn 2015, the US firm also kept 100 per cent of its qualifiers.
In the 13 rounds of retention since spring 2010, White & Case has retained 91 per cent of 186 trainees reaching qualification: an excellent record.
The newly qualified lawyers this spring join practices including M&A, financial restructuring and insolvency, project finance, commercial litigation, international arbitration and capital markets.
They will receive a salary of £90,000, after White & Case bumped NQ pay by 20 per cent last summer.
