Job Description

THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW – VISITING LECTURER, LONDON (BLOOMSBURY)

Apply here by 24 July 2020

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious individual who wants to forge or continue a meaningful career in teaching and course design in Higher Education. You may or may not have previous experience of teaching and course design, but what is important to us is that you have the drive and enthusiasm to learn.

Teaching in Higher Education can be challenging but rewarding and we are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who is ready to make a positive contribution. You will be keen to share your expertise and to become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience at our Bloomsbury campus, including teaching on our LPC, GDL, MA, LLB, BPTC and/or Masters programmes.

We are looking to recruit a visiting lecturer – either a qualified solicitor or barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience to teach on our academic and vocational courses, or, if you are not a qualified solicitor or barrister but have experience of teaching law in Higher or Further Education, we would still like to hear from you in respect of our academic courses.

Early applications are encouraged – interviews and appointments will held on a rolling basis from the time of advertising.

If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please contact Sarah Corbett – phone 01483 216535 or email sarah.corbett@law.ac.uk

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check – you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body – we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
