Salary: £35,740 – £39,540 inclusive of all allowances
The City of London Corporation is the local authority for the “Square Mile”. We have a vacancy in the Public and Corporate Law Division.
The work of the Division is very varied and includes local government law, administrative and constitutional law, planning and highways law, charities and trust law, company law, information law and the law relating to open spaces. It includes the provision of legal advice to elected members and external organisations, including London Councils. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a wide variety of legal matters and build a strong sense of how the City of London and City Corporation operates. You’ll work across multiple projects, drafting routine legal and policy documents and correspondence, undertake research and provide routine advice, and provide legal, technical and administrative support to the team. The successful applicant will be highly organised, adaptable and calm under pressure, and enjoy the challenge of supporting more than one team member and juggling priorities.
