London – £58,847 to £66,670 Post Type: Permanent The Senior Legal Advisor reports to the Head of Operations – Complex Crime Unit. The role holder acts as a senior leader in Case Management and working in partnership with one other Senior Legal Advisor, is responsible for the delivery of LAA and wider MoJ strategic objectives, with specific accountability for operational legal advice and dispute resolution across Crime Case management. The Senior Legal Advisor also has a unique role in providing a close link between Case Management and the Central Legal Teams, working closely with the Principal Legal Advisor and members of their team. The role holder is a senior leader expected to uphold the values of the Civil Service Leadership Statement by inspiring a team of approx. 850 case management staff to deliver their duties, ensuring best value for the taxpayer and access to justice for eligible members of the public. The role holder is expected to act as agent for positive change and engagement, leading by example and ensuring the Civil Service Code is upheld by all colleagues.
