We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Trustee to join our Board of Trustees.

Are you an experienced legal professional? Do you have experience of working in a cross-cultural context or organisation and with senior level decision-makers? Are you inspired to help the global church live into its integral mission mandate?

As a Tearfund Trustee you will work as part of the wider Board to set Tearfund’s strategic direction, to ensure legal and financial compliance and to oversee Tearfund’s operations to effectively pursue its mission. Your experience in charity law and regulation, compliance, safeguarding and risk management will be crucial in enabling the Board to be satisfied that Tearfund’s legal responsibilities are being performed well.

You will contribute to Tearfund’s evolving:

• Identity
• Vision
• Strategy
• Partnerships
• All aspects of governance

In this non-executive, Board-level role, you will bring the benefit of deep professional experience, being able to ask strategic questions regarding approach and impact and offer helpful challenge and an external perspective to the executive team that leads this work.
