About the job

As an Associate Litigation and Regulatory Counsel, you will work on legal issues. The projects and cases you will take on will test you to think big and differently. You will partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business and work with Googlers from all over the company. As an integrated part of the team, you will assess legal risks and advise on products.

In this role, you will help support our policy teams with substantive, well-thought-out legal analysis, and will facilitate the cooperation with the legal team on the ground, particularly relating to content regulation. You will help with the outreach campaigns. You will be an advocate and a team player, eager to help shape the future direction of content policy. You will assist with the analysis of the impact of future legislation, coordinate internally to prepare for implementation of new policies, and assist running related regulatory investigations and lawsuits.

Minimum qualifications:

Qualified UK lawyer.

Experience working with laws relating to online content and the liability of internet intermediaries.

Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in litigation, ideally in Internet liability, consumer protection and/or competition matters.

Experience in digital regulatory policy and/or legal matters.

Familiarity with internet technologies and the surrounding regulatory environments.

Excellent team player with the ability to exercise decision-making in a rapidly changing environment.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
