Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced attorney who is enthusiastic about technology and its potential for positive impact in peoples’ lives to serve as an Associate General Counsel on the legal team that supports Facebook’s Global Marketing Solutions. The position will focus on providing strategic and tactical legal counseling to senior management, and day to day support to Facebook’s EMEA client teams and regulatory and privacy teams in relation to existing and new ads and business products. Associate General Counsel, Global Marketing Solutions Responsibilities


  • Be the main point of contact for EMEA client teams and regulatory and privacy teams on all matters involving Facebook’s ads and business products
  • Provide client teams with ongoing support for ads and business products – including developing scalable trainings, guidance notes and other resources
  • Analyse products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
  • Provide policy, product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice related to ads and business products and policies
  • Coordinate with public policy and communications colleagues on external communications, policy development, and enforcement decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with Facebook’s legal teams

Minimum Qualifications


  • 8+ years PQE from a law firm or prior in-house experience (including applicable litigation, commercial, regulatory or product counseling experience)
  • Knowledge of legal frameworks that apply to data-driven advertising or ecommerce
  • Experience of advising on legal and regulatory issues (including privacy) that apply to online advertising, ecommerce,, social networking, or other technologies
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams to get the job done
