The Role
The role holder would provide support on a wide range of legal matters relating to GLP’s European business, including day-to-day legal operations and ad hoc projects. This will be a paid (London Living Wage) 6 month intern role within a fast-paced Legal, Compliance and Governance team, and it will require coordination across multiple jurisdictions and continuous engagement with various levels of internal personnel and external parties. The role presents an exciting opportunity for recent undergraduates or gap year students to gain legal, compliance and commercial experience and exposure to the real estate fund management industry.
Legal support including:
- Review and advise on commercial agreement
- Conduct legal research for the European Legal team
- Help to review non-disclosure agreements, and conduct first review of other transaction documents
- Liaising with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Assistance with internal precedent database
- Providing ad hoc legal and administrative support to the European Legal Team
Company Secretarial including:
- Company incorporations (in conjunction with local external counsel where necessary)
- UK Companies House filings
- Reviewing and drafting board minutes and assisting with board approval processes
- Populating and maintaining up-to-date lists of contracts, directors, and group entities
- Assisting with ad hoc company secretarial matters
Risk & Compliance including:
- Assisting with know-your-client (KYC) procedures and general compliance matters
