As Corporate Counsel at Google, you work on the most exciting legal issues as disruptive technological innovations require creative and proactive legal guidance. As a Legal Counsel for Google’s Cloud business, you’ll facilitate and draft a variety of agreements relating to Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and related services. You’ll work closely with our Cloud Sales and Product teams, other business clients, and also Legal colleagues in Google offices throughout EMEA and in the US. You’ll be highly organized, calm, and will pay close attention to detail. In addition, you’ll have an understanding of Google’s business and the ability to think quickly and practically. You will be a member of a fast-moving team working on solutions to contracting challenges that have real business impact on a large scale.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Qualified solicitor.
- Experience in private practice and/or in-house team in the UK.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in facilitating, drafting, and advising clients on technology-related commercial agreements, including multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Significant experience of advising on data protection issues, including legislative changes.
- Broad experience of contract, commercial, and IT law.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a range of agreements with customers and partners throughout EMEA. Draft and maintain templates that comply with company policies and local law.
- Develop expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and other enterprise products. Build strong relationships with Cloud business clients in our various EMEA offices and in the US.
- Advise senior management, business clients, and US legal teams on various aspects of English law, in particular data protection.
- Advise on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, and company policies.
