- Responsibilities
- Providecounseling and support for the International Compensation and Benefits team,including advising and assisting on the design, implementation, andadministration of Facebook’s international benefits programs.
- Monitorlegislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activitiesrelated to the above substantive legal areas and provide proactive strategicadvice to the Employment Law Group and relevant stakeholders.
- Adviseand provide strategic support to HR Business Partners and business leaders oncomplicated hires, employee terminations, performance management,accommodations, reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions and otheremployment-related matters.
- Draftand revise employment and benefit related agreements and policies, includingoffer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employeehandbooks and policies, and other employment related documents, applicable toFacebook’s various global employees.
- Collaboratewith other attorneys on the global Employment law team with respect to alladvice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners.
- Participatein creation and delivery of training related to employment and benefit law matters.
- Managepre-litigation and litigation matters
- Minimum Qualifications
- LLBor equivalent degree.
- Qualifiedlawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction with excellent academic credentials.
- Minimum5 years of post-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employmentcounselling including familiarity with employment law and internationalemployment issues across different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with awillingness to learn in new jurisdictions.
- Experiencewith coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.
- Candidatemust be a hands-on worker and team-player, practical, results-oriented, andable to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide strategicsolutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidatesmust be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary to connectwith colleagues in the U.S., LATAM, EMEA and across APAC, and to completeprojects in a timely fashion.
- StrongEnglish communication skills, both verbally and in Minimum 5 years ofpost-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employment counsellingincluding familiarity with employment law and international employment issuesacross different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with a willingness to learn innew jurisdictions.
- Willingnessand flexibility to travel globally
