Job Description

International Employment Counsel 


Responsibilities

Provide counseling andsupport for the International Compensation and Benefits team, includingadvising and assisting on the design, implementation, and administration ofFacebook’s international benefits programs.

Monitor legislation,regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities related to theabove substantive legal areas and provide proactive strategic advice to theEmployment Law Group and relevant stakeholders.

Advise and providestrategic support to HR Business Partners and business leaders on complicatedhires, employee terminations, performance management, accommodations,reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions and other employment-relatedmatters.

Draft and reviseemployment and benefit related agreements and policies, including offerletters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooksand policies, and other employment related documents, applicable to Facebook’svarious global employees.

Collaborate with otherattorneys on the global Employment law team with respect to all advice andcounseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners.

Participate in creationand delivery of training related to employment and benefit law matters.

Manage pre-litigation andlitigation matters


MinimumQualifications

LLB or equivalent degree.

Qualified lawyer in atleast one EMEA jurisdiction with excellent academic credentials.

Minimum 5 years ofpost-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employment counsellingincluding familiarity with employment law and international employment issuesacross different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with a willingness to learn innew jurisdictions.

Experience withcoordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.

Candidate must be ahands-on worker and team-player, practical, results-oriented, and able topartner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide strategic solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidates must beflexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary to connect withcolleagues in the U.S., LATAM, EMEA and across APAC, and to complete projectsin a timely fashion.

Strong Englishcommunication skills, both verbally and in Minimum 5 years ofpost-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employment counsellingincluding familiarity with employment law and international employment issuesacross different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with a willingness to learn innew jurisdictions.

Willingness andflexibility to travel globally
