Job Description

  • Responsibilities
  1. Providecounseling and support for the International Compensation and Benefits team,including advising and assisting on the design, implementation, andadministration of Facebook’s international benefits programs.
  2. Monitorlegislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activitiesrelated to the above substantive legal areas and provide proactive strategicadvice to the Employment Law Group and relevant stakeholders.
  3. Adviseand provide strategic support to HR Business Partners and business leaders oncomplicated hires, employee terminations, performance management,accommodations, reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions and otheremployment-related matters.
  4. Draftand revise employment and benefit related agreements and policies, includingoffer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employeehandbooks and policies, and other employment related documents, applicable toFacebook’s various global employees.
  5. Collaboratewith other attorneys on the global Employment law team with respect to alladvice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners.
  6. Participatein creation and delivery of training related to employment and benefit law matters.
  7. Managepre-litigation and litigation matters

  • Minimum Qualifications

  1. LLBor equivalent degree.
  2. Qualifiedlawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction with excellent academic credentials.
  3. Minimum5 years of post-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employmentcounselling including familiarity with employment law and internationalemployment issues across different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with awillingness to learn in new jurisdictions.
  4. Experiencewith coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.
  5. Candidatemust be a hands-on worker and team-player, practical, results-oriented, andable to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide strategicsolutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Candidatesmust be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary to connectwith colleagues in the U.S., LATAM, EMEA and across APAC, and to completeprojects in a timely fashion.
  7. StrongEnglish communication skills, both verbally and in Minimum 5 years ofpost-qualification experience in labor, benefits and employment counsellingincluding familiarity with employment law and international employment issuesacross different EMEA, APAC and LATAM countries, with a willingness to learn innew jurisdictions.
  8. Willingnessand flexibility to travel globally
