The team
The Birmingham Employment team is led by Partner Elaine Huttley. They specialise in all areas of Employment Law, both contentious and non-contentious. We advise businesses and individuals on all aspects of employment law, including but not limited to redundancies, disciplinary and grievances, Settlement Agreements, TUPE, absence management and undertake a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims.

The team acts for a wide range of UK and international businesses from small organisations, start-ups and SMEs to PLCs. The clients are from a variety of sectors including (but not limited to) retail, technology, education, aviation, hospitality and sport.

The role
Working in the Birmingham Employment team is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in challenging and complex cases, whilst learning from the very best.

You’ll need to have a passion for Employment law, a desire to do the right thing and the ability to think outside of the box. Using your understanding of this interesting area of law, you’ll work to participate in relevant practice development initiatives, seek to get involved with business development opportunities and keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice. To drive best practice further, you will be an exceptional team player with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and to develop other team members.

Requirements
-> 1- 3 years PQE
-> A high level of accuracy
-> An enthusiasm for advising on a varied range of employment law issues and taking on new challenges
-> The ability to manage a busy and varied workload
-> An interest in business development
