The Role

Rights of Women are looking for a qualified woman* solicitor or barrister with experience of employment law to deliver vital legal services for women as part of their employment law team.

The Legal Officer (Employment law) is responsible for delivery of Rights of Women’s core services including providing legal advice on telephone advice lines, delivering training and writing publications. She also contributes to Rights of Women’s policy work. Specifically, she is responsible for the assistance of the implementation and delivery of a funded project for women who have been sexually harassed in the workplace.

Salary: £35,618.04 Gross Pay plus 3% employer pension contribution

Conditions: 35 hours per week

Holiday entitlement: 28 days annual leave (3 days designated for ROW closure between Christmas and New Year) plus public holidays per annum. Enhanced holiday entitlement after 5 years’ service.

Location: Home-based. Occasional travel may be required in England and Wales for meetings or delivery of training.

Line Manager: Senior Legal Officer (Employment law)

Duration: Fixed term until 31st March 2023. Possibility of role becoming permanent, subject to funding.
