The week will comprise a series of practical exercises, talks and networking opportunities within our Film & Television, Music, Corporate & Commercial and Dispute Resolution teams.
Our hope is that it will help us identify potential future Paralegals and it will give you a real taste of working in a law firm specialising in the media, technology and creative industries. (Please note there is no guarantee of a Paralegal role following attendance on the Vacation Scheme and Training Contracts are only offered to individuals who have worked at Lee & Thompson as a Paralegal for at least six months.)
Each Vacation Scheme attendee will be paid £250 to cover expenses during the five days of the Vacation Scheme.
Applications
Applicants must complete the application form (digitally or by hand) – click here to access the downloadable application form, then download the Microsoft Word document and enable editing to complete your application form.
As part of the application and included in the form, applicants must also write a letter of a maximum of 250 words setting out: why they would like to attend Lee & Thompson’s Vacation Scheme (which is part of the application form); and what they believe they could bring to the firm in the long term.
The completed form and letter must be emailed to vacscheme@leeandthompson.com or posted to Vacation Scheme, Lee & Thompson LLP, 80 Charlotte Street, London W1T 4DJ by no later than Tuesday 6 April 2021. Any applications received after 5.30pm on this date will not be considered.
Requirements
To consider your application, we have the following requirements:
- Applicants must have graduated and attained a 2.1 degree;
- A-Level grades: Minimum of A*, A or B;
- A commitment to a career in law with a passion for the worlds in which we are immersed: media, technology and the creative industries. We welcome applicants who have had a career change, particularly those with experience in our clients’ sectors; and
- People with enthusiasm and drive, who are considerate and bright.
