The Role
Lee & Thompson are inviting applications for a one-week Vacation Scheme, commencing on Monday 8 August 2022! The week will comprise a series of practical exercises, talks and networking opportunities within their Film & Television, Music, Corporate & Commercial and Dispute Resolution teams.
The Vacation Scheme will give you a real taste of working in a law firm specialising in the media, technology and creative industries, whilst helping them to identify potential future Paralegals. (Please note, there is no guarantee of a Paralegal role following attendance on the Vacation Scheme and training contracts are only offered to individuals who have worked at Lee & Thompson as a Paralegal for at least six months.)
Each Vacation Scheme attendee will be paid £250 to cover expenses during the five days of the programme.

Requirements
Lee & Thompson are keen to see applications from anyone who:
> Demonstrates a genuine commitment to pursuing a career as a solicitor in the worlds in which the firm are immersed: media, technology and the creative industries; and
> Has an academic background evidencing the applicant’s ability to cope with the demands of the role of a solicitor – Lee & Thompson typically expect applicants to have graduated and attained a 2.1 degree in Law OR graduated and attained a 2.1 degree in another subject and have commenced or completed the law conversion (GDL). But (in each case) if you have extenuating circumstances, they will still consider your application.

Once downloaded, please enable editing to complete your form. As part of the application, applicants must also write a letter of a maximum of 250 words in the form, setting out why you would like to attend Lee & Thompson’s Vacation Scheme and what you believe you could bring to the firm in the long term.

Deadline
The completed form and letter must be emailed to: vacscheme@leeandthompson.com to reach them by Tuesday 19 April 2022 (any applications received after this will not be considered).
Interviews
A select number of applicants will be notified by the end of May 2022 whether they are being offered an interview. Interviews will take place virtually (via Microsoft Teams or Zoom) during June 2022.
