Pensions Lawyer – Managing Associate, 5 + PQE, Leeds
We are looking to add a mid-level or senior pensions lawyer to our team. You would be joining the largest pensions team in Leeds, consistently ranked as the region’s top-tier team for over 20 years. Our team is collaborative and ambitious, with a strong reputation across the pensions market. We are continuing to invest in the growth of our practice and play a central role in advising clients across a wide range of pensions matters, rather than operating solely as a corporate support function.
What You’ll Do:
• Advise trustees, sponsors, and financial institutions on a broad range of pensions advisory work, including strategic matters for major UK and international organisations.
• Work on complex and high-value pensions projects, including risk transfer transactions and innovative deal structures with leading insurers.
• Support clients on pensions aspects of M&A and corporate transactions, including due diligence and transaction support.
• Contribute to a nationally recognised pensions risk transfer practice involved in some of the largest transactions in the market.
• Advise providers in the SIPP and SSAS market on regulatory, advisory, and transactional matters, including acquisitions and disposals.
• Assist on pensions disputes and litigation matters, working closely with specialist disputes colleagues where required.
• Collaborate with experts across the wider firm, including teams specialising in investment, funding, derivatives, employment, data protection, and cyber security.
Who We’re Looking For:
• Ideally at least 4 years’ PQE in pensions law, with an interest in expanding your experience across a broader range of work and clients.
• A strong technical foundation in pensions law; experience in either DB or DC work is welcome.
• Someone who enjoys building professional networks and engaging with the pensions market to support client relationships.
• A collaborative and organised professional who manages their workload effectively.
• An individual with ambition and enthusiasm who is ready to take the next step in their career.
