Job Description

THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW – TUTOR, BRISTOL

Apply by 19 July 2020

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious individual who wants to forge or continue a meaningful career in teaching and course design in Higher Education. You may or may not have previous experience of teaching and course design, but what is important to us is that you have the drive and enthusiasm to learn.

Teaching in Higher Education can be challenging but rewarding and we are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who is ready to make a positive contribution. You will be keen to share your expertise and to become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience at our Bristol campus, including teaching on our Bar Practice Course and possibly one or more of our other programmes such as the LPC, GDL, MA, LLB and/or Masters programmes. In return, we will guarantee you a supportive and friendly environment where considerable opportunities for learning and career development exist for the right people.

Are you ready to join our dynamic team and help contribute to our success?

We are looking to recruit a law tutor – ideally a qualified barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience to teach on our academic and vocational courses, or, if you are not a qualified solicitor or barrister but have experience of teaching law in Higher or Further Education, we would still like to hear from you in respect of our academic courses.

As part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you to study for a recognised teaching qualification.

If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please contact Zoe King – phone 01483 216642 or email Zoe.King@law.ac.uk
