Due to the continued growth and success of ULaw’s Manchester Campus we have a new opportunity for a full-time Academic Manager to join our team.


Working as part of a three person Academic management team, alongside one other Academic Manager and with the leadership and guidance of a Head of Tutors, you will be responsible for the management and development of a team of tutors and Visiting Lecturers.  In liaison with the Programme and Student Leads, Campus Dean, Campus Operations Manager and Timetabling team, you will enhance the student experience by securing high quality teaching, making effective use of staff resource, co-ordinating and balancing team workload. You will also maintain an element of your own teaching practice.


For this role you will need to have experience of and an interest in people management, particularly around motivation and development.  Equally important is the ability to achieve targets and goals as required by both Campus and strategic objectives, plus proven leadership and resource management and problem solving skills. Subject knowledge to enable teaching within our portfolio of course offering is also necessary. Further specific role responsibilities are set out in the job description.
