Based in the heart of this thriving city, we are therefore looking to recruit someone who could either have been a law tutor, qualified solicitor or a barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience.  You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery.  You will be eager to share your expertise and become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience within our campus, primarily teaching on our LPC, GDL and LLB programmes.  We are also expecting to run the Bar Practice Course (BPC) from September 2020. Please note that classes are also routinely delivered over weekends and evenings and tutors are expected to work flexibly within these parameters.

We have a particular interest in tutors with skills in equity and trusts, private client, business law, contract, public law and ethics. Separately we are interested in tutors who can teach on the Bar Practice Course in civil and criminal law.

As part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you to study for a recognised teaching qualification within your first 18 months of employment.

Part time and full time applications will be considered.

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check – you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body – we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
