The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the UK’s leading providers of legal and business education. We bring together teaching of the highest quality, a focus on practical skills and innovative learning styles, delivering perfect preparation for a career in legal practice or the global world of business. We are also renowned for our professional development portfolio. We operate from 14 campuses throughout England and 2 international campuses in Hong Kong and Berlin.
Following rapid growth and success in our online study mode, we are now excited to announce the opening of a dedicated, bespoke Online Campus in September 2020 – ‘ULaw Online’. We understand that today’s students and tomorrow’s professionals want a choice in how, where and when they learn – ULaw Online provides that.
We already have an experienced and committed core of people ready to launch this digital campus – do you want to become part of this dedicated team and help build our new world of learning?
Permanent, employed roles (part time or full time opportunities):-
Law Tutors
Academic Managers
Programme and Student Leads
Casual, hourly paid roles:-
Associate Academics
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education, who believe that the student experience should be second to none and are excited about using technology to do that. You do not need teaching experience – we will provide all the training you need – but you must be invested in delivering the highest standard of legal education, using existing and emerging technology.
You will be a qualified lawyer with proven successful practice experience, supported by a desire to help our students achieve that same career. As well as our dedicated tutoring roles, we are also looking for people who will tutor but, in addition, enjoy managing and developing teams (Academic Managers) or are interested in programme development (Programme and Student Leads). Additionally, our Associate Academics roles will support those tutors on a flexible and casual basis.
ULaw Online campus staff will be home-based, but required to attend our Manchester hub and/or other campuses approximately twice per month.
We offer an excellent range of competitive benefits for permanent staff, including 35 days annual leave, private medical insurance and life assurance. As part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you to study for a recognised teaching qualification within your first 18 months of employment.
To apply, please visit our job vacancies page on our website: https://www.law.ac.uk/about/job-vacancies/ to complete an application form.
If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please email jobs@law.ac.uk and include ‘ULaw Online’ in the heading.
No agencies please
Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check – you will be notified of this during the application process.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body – we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
