The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world’s largest law schools. With an impressive history going back to 1876, we employ c850 staff and have over 10,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, which are also delivered through our dedicated business school. ULaw has an outstanding reputation as a full service legal and educational training specialist, operating from fourteen campuses throughout the UK and Berlin, with additional global reach through online and face to face provision.

Due to significant growth and success across all areas of our portfolio, we are looking to recruit additional visiting lecturers who will work for the University on an hourly-rate basis on a worker contract.  This is ideal for working around practice or other work commitments.

You must have a genuine passion for quality and excellence. You may or may not have previous experience of teaching but you will have the drive and enthusiasm to learn.  You will enjoy being challenged and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery.  You will be eager to share your expertise and become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience within our campuses.  In addition, to teach within our law faculty, you will be a qualified solicitor or barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience.

We have vacancies across all our subject areas including LPC, GDL, MA, LLB, BPC, Business and/or Masters programmes.

Classes are routinely delivered over weekends and evenings and we are seeking VLs who are prepared to make themselves available for these modes of delivery, as well as through the week.

Are you ready to join our dynamic team and help contribute to our success?

  1. Birmingham
  2. Bristol/Exeter
  3. Guildford
  4. Leeds
  5. London – Bloomsbury Business School
  6. London – Bloomsbury Law
  7. London – Moorgate
  8. Manchester
  9. Nottingham
  10. Reading
  11. ULaw – Online Campus

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check – you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body – we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.

Applications are always welcome for VLs.  We consider applications on a rolling basis, therefore interviews take place, and appointments are made, throughout the year.
