ATLEU: Paralegal – Compensation Unit
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for growth and development. ATLEU’s Compensation Unit has a unique profile of work and has pioneered the way in seeking compensation for survivors of trafficking. We are seeking a candidate who would relish the opportunity to contribute to a team that continues to develop the law in this field, embrace the chance to learn from leading trafficking lawyers in the Unit with a view to developing their own practice in this area of law. There is also the opportunity to gain experience in preparing resources and training, that will support others to assist victims of trafficking to obtain compensation, and develop their own skillset.
ATLEU welcomes applications from candidates with different levels of experience. It is envisaged that candidates may include those at the start of their legal career with limited casework experience and more experienced candidates currently practising in legal aid with employment, civil litigation or public law experience. - Location: London SE1
- Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Salary: £21,600– £28,224 (including London weighting) depending on experience.
- Pension: 5% pension contribution
- Leave: 33 days a year (25days plus 8 bank holidays, with an increase of 1 day per year for each complete year of service, capped at 30 days plus bank holidays per year (38 days)
- Benefits: Clinical supervision and individual training budget.
